A method built to
fit the person,
not the other way round.
Six words describe how every piece of work here is structured. They are deliberately
plain, because a method a client cannot follow is a method they cannot consent to
properly.
Not a rigid sequence — a cycle. Later sessions loop back through listening and
exploration as understanding deepens and goals are refined.
One person, one planA repeating cycle
01
Listen
Understanding your experiences and objectives before anything else. This means
hearing the full account, including the parts that seem irrelevant, and paying
attention to the words you choose for your own difficulty — those words usually
become the material of the sessions themselves.
02
Explore
Identifying patterns, perspectives and goals. What triggers the response, what
sustains it, what it protects, and what you would like instead — described specifically
enough that both of us would recognise it if it arrived.
03
Personalise
Developing an approach suited to the individual. Techniques, language, imagery,
depth and pace are all selected for you — and revised whenever the evidence suggests
something else would serve better.
04
Guide
Using hypnotherapy techniques appropriately and within their limits. Guiding, not
directing: you remain aware, in control, and free to question, decline or stop at
any point in the session.
05
Reflect
Encouraging awareness and understanding of what took place. Reflection turns an
experience into something usable, and it is how the approach gets corrected when
part of it has not fitted.
06
Progress
Recognising that change is personal and may develop differently for each individual.
Progress is reviewed against the goals actually agreed — not against an average, a
timeline, or someone else's outcome.
The conditions around the work
Four commitments that make the method usable
Technique matters far less than most people assume. What determines whether a session is
useful is usually whether the person felt safe enough to be honest in it.
A comfortable environment
A private, quiet, unhurried setting with no audience and no observation. Practical
comfort is not a nicety here — a person who is physically uneasy will not settle
mentally.
Respectful communication
Plain language, no jargon used to impress, no mystique. Questions are answered
directly, including uncomfortable ones about effectiveness, cost and limitations.
Your pace
Sessions move at a speed you can stay comfortable with. "Not today" is always an
acceptable answer, and slowing down is treated as good clinical sense rather than lost
time.
Confidentiality
What is said in a session stays there. Discretion is a professional obligation and a
practical requirement: people cannot work honestly on something they fear may be
repeated.
Plans that can be reviewed, adjusted or ended
Ethics & realistic expectations
What you will not be told here
A great deal of the discomfort people feel about hypnotherapy comes from how it is
sometimes marketed. The commitments below are as much a part of the approach as
anything in the framework above.
No guaranteed results, and no promise of a permanent cure
No claim to treat or cure medical or psychiatric conditions
No fixed session count quoted before understanding your situation
No pressure to continue, and no discouragement from stopping
No testimonials presented as evidence of what you should expect
No work undertaken outside the practitioner's competence
Where a concern would be better served by medical, psychiatric or psychological care, you
will be told so directly — including at the first conversation, before any session is
booked.
Practicalities
How sessions are arranged
Mumbai's geography and working hours are a genuine factor in whether someone sustains a
course of sessions. Format is chosen for what you can realistically maintain.
In person
One-to-one sessions in a private, quiet setting. Preferred where the work is likely to
be emotionally demanding, or where a person finds it easier to settle in a dedicated
space away from home.
Online
Conducted by video for those at a distance, travelling, or managing schedules that make
regular attendance impractical. Requires a private room, a stable connection and an
uninterrupted hour — the same conditions as an in-person session.
Group sessions
Guided group work and introductory demonstrations for those who want to understand what
hypnotherapy involves before committing to individual sessions. Group work does not
replace personalised one-to-one sessions.
